This presentation will begin with an overview of conversation between aided and natural speakers, and show strategies for increasing conversations including: learning the anatomy of a conversation, starting with social scripts, and supporting AAC users in creating their own interactive conversational scripts.
Participants will identify the parts of a conversation, demonstrate how to support beginning AAC users with social scripts, and show how to give ownership of conversation to AAC users.
